Soccer Preview: Hot Vicksburg Meets Edwardsburg

The Vicksburg Bulldogs will challenge the Edwardsburg Eddies at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Vicksburg will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Vicksburg's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Berrien Springs.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Edwardsburg). They put the hurt on Three Rivers with a sharp 9-1 victory on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for Edwardsburg, who have now won eight contests by four goals or more so far this season.

Edwardsburg has now won 11 of their last 12 games at home. That gives them an 11-1-1 record this season. The home wins were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 52 goals over those 12 games. As for Vicksburg, they have now won four of their last five games on the road. That's given a solid lift to their 10-5-2 record this season.
