Baseball Recap: Providence Athletic Club Takes a Loss

Providence Athletic Club was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Coastal HomeSchool Hurricanes. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Jacob Edwards made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-4. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Evan Watt, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Providence Athletic Club's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Coastal HomeSchool, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-4.

While Providence Athletic Club had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
