Football Game Preview: Glenwood Springs Demons vs. Conifer Lobos + How To Watch

The Glenwood Springs Demons will head out on the road to face off against the Conifer Lobos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Conifer took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Glenwood Springs, who comes in off a win.

Glenwood Springs gave up the first points on Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against George Washington by a score of 21-13. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Demons.

Glenwood Springs' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lamanie Portillo led the charge by rushing for 89 yards on only ten carries. The Demons also got a significant boost from Zack Bollock, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 82 yards.

Another reason for the win was Glenwood Springs' imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. George Washington's QB won't forget Ossie Hilgeford anytime soon given he sacked him 2.5 times.

Meanwhile, Conifer fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Eagle Valley on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Devils by a score of 27-24. The loss was the Lobos' first of the season.

Conifer didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Dillon Warner and Brandon Knolmayer. Knolmayer also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 14.

Having lost for the first time this season, Conifer fell to 3-1. As for Glenwood Springs, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Everything went Glenwood Springs' way against Conifer in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Glenwood Springs made off with a 39-14 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Demons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
