Basketball Recap: Chetek-Weyerhaeuser Victorious

Chetek-Weyerhaeuser hadn't done well against Cumberland recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Beavers by a score of 54-44. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 64-60 loss the last time these two teams met.

Chetek-Weyerhaeuser now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Cumberland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chetek-Weyerhaeuser and Mondovi will compete for holiday cheer at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Buffaloes have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Cumberland will take on Barron in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Golden Bears will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Beavers surely won't give up without a fight.
