Jack Roach posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Wednesday. He struck out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He is becoming a predictor of Tipton's success: when he allows at most two earned runs the team is 2-1 (and 1-6 when he doesn't).

Coming up, Roach and Tipton will square off against Frankton at 5:03 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Devils haven't beaten the Eagles recently, having gone 0-7 since April of 2016.
