Volleyball Recap: New Haven Takes a Loss

New Haven was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Bluffton Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-16, 22-25, 25-20.

Annika Koepke paced New Haven's offense, picking up ten kills. Koepke got some help from Avary Vincenski and her 24 assists. Vincenski also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Aniyah Simmerman, each putting up two.

New Haven's defeat dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Bluffton, their victory ended a five-match drought on the road and puts them at 9-16.

New Haven wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Huntington North on the 30th. As for Bluffton, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Heritage on the 30th.
