Refugio strolled into their game  on Friday with a perfect  record and they left with the same. They breezed past Skidmore-Tynan to the tune of  61-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Refugio's considerable advantage  in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 214th, while Skidmore-Tynan is ranked 1084th).
Refugio had a senior duo take command as  Ray Lewis rushed for 195 yards and one  TD on only five carries and  Zander Wills rushed for 151 yards and four  touchdowns on only six carries. Wills didn't just play on offense: he also made ten total tackles (3.0 for loss) and defended one pass.  Laytyn Garza did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 126  receiving yards.
 Refugio was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 412  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 257  rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
 Refugio didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Daelan Edwards and  Jaedynce Lewis. Another thorn in Skidmore-Tynan's side was  Jason Delossantos, who forced two fumbles and made seven total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Refugio's record is now 8-0. As for Skidmore-Tynan,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 1-7.
 Coming up, Refugio will face off against Three Rivers at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. The Bobcats will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least 31  points  in their last four matchups. As for Skidmore-Tynan, they will challenge Freer at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. The Bobcats will be up against the Buckaroos' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29.88  points per  contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
