Preview: Argonia Red Raiders vs. Attica Bulldogs
Argonia is 0-6 against Attica since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Argonia Red Raiders are on the road again and play against the Attica Bulldogs at 7:30 a.m. on December 19th. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Tuesday, Argonia had to suffer through a rough 68-34 loss at the hands of Cunningham. Argonia was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-19.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Maddex Hemberger, who scored 12 points along with four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Dalton Morrison, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Attica's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 52-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Oxford.
Argonia's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Attica, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
Things could have been worse for Argonia, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 55-37 loss to Attica when the teams last played back in March of 2018. Can Argonia avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
