Soccer Recap: Western Harnett Takes a Loss

Western Harnett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Terry Sanford Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, Western Harnett can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 396th, while Terry Sanford are ranked 129th).

Western Harnett's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Terry Sanford, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Terry Sanford will take on Lee County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Western Harnett will be paying especially close attention to the Bulldogs' matchup: after the Bulldogs faces off against the Yellow Jackets, they'll take on Western Harnett again at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
