Basketball Recap: Monday's Defeat Ends Dixie Heights' Winning Streak

After flying high against Ludlow last Saturday, Dixie Heights came back down to earth. The Dixie Heights Colonels took a 53-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds on Monday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Colonels came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Thoroughbreds are ranked 113th).
