Soccer Game Preview: Denham Springs vs. Walker

Denham Springs is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Walker is on a six-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Denham Springs Yellowjackets will host the Walker Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Denham Springs is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Louisiana's top teams: Mandeville, who was ranked 17th at the time (Denham Springs was ranked 18th). Denham Springs fell 4-2 to Mandeville last Saturday. The Yellowjackets' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Walker). They never let Hammond onto the board and left with an 8-0 victory on Monday. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by five goals or more this season.

Walker's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Denham Springs, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-3.
