Recap: Marion P. Thomas vs. American History Bald Eagles
Marion P. Thomas suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of American History by a score of 68-65. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
American History's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ahmad Woodard, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ahmad Davis, who scored nine points along with 18 rebounds and two steals.
Marion P. Thomas' defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-6. As for American History, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marion P. Thomas on the road again on Thursday and play against Central at 6:00 p.m. on January 18th. Central has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 22. As for American History, they will head out on the road to take on Academy Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Academy Charter is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
