Basketball Recap: Glenn Hills Comes Up Short

Glenn Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 65-5 loss at the hands of the Josey Eagles. The Spartans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-2.

Josey's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kerri Fluellen, who dropped a triple-double on 15 points, ten rebounds, and 12 steals. Fluellen has been hot for a while, having posted three or more steals the last 48 times she's played. Keasia Henderson was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 12 assists.

Glenn Hills' loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Josey, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.

Glenn Hills will face off against Thomson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Thomson will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Glenn Hills surely won't give up without a fight. As for Josey, they will take on Burke County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
