Softball Recap: Moody's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

Moody managed to slip by Crawford the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Moody Bearcats lost 14-3 to the Crawford Pirates on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bearcats have suffered since February 15th.

The loss snapped Moody's winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 8-4-1 record. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for Crawford, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Coming up, Moody will venture away from home to face off against Valley Mills at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crawford, they will welcome Bosqueville at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Bosqueville's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Crawford's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
