Baseball Recap: Minor Takes a Loss

Minor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 12-2 to the Central Falcons. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.

Koen Jackson was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in both of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Minor's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Central, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Coming up, Minor will face off against Clay-Chalkville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Central, they will take on Holy Spirit Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Saints' pitching crew has only allowed 1.3 runs per game this season, so the Falcons' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
