Football Game Preview: Blanchard Lions vs. Chickasha Fighting Chicks

The Blanchard Lions will venture away from home to take on the Chickasha Fighting Chicks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Blanchard will be strutting in after a victory while Chickasha will be coming in after a loss.

Blanchard's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They claimed a resounding 60-0 win over Madill. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 62 points the game before, Chickasha was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They were outmatched by Tuttle and fell 56-0. The shutout was out of character for the Fighting Chicks seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

Blanchard's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Chickasha, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-7.

Everything came up roses for Blanchard against Chickasha when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 46-12 win. In that game, the Lions amassed a halftime lead of 27-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
