Volleyball Recap: Blue Hill Takes a Loss

Blue Hill came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Grand Island Central Catholic Crusaders, falling 3-0. The Bobcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Crusaders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-15, 25-18.

Lauren Kohmetscher paced Blue Hill's offense, picking up ten kills. Kohmetscher got some help from Kaisha Alber and her ten assists. Michaela Hargis controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Blue Hill dropped their record down to 1-2 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Grand Island Central Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Blue Hill didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Doniphan-Trumbull on the 4th. As for Grand Island Central Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against St. Cecilia on the 4th.
