Football Recap: Gloucester Catholic Comes Up Short

Gloucester Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Clayton Clippers, falling 40-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 38-7 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Gloucester Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Clayton, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gloucester Catholic will face off against Sterling at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rams will need to watch out since the Silver Knights have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Clayton, they will head out to square off against Gateway Regional at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
