Basketball Game Preview: Ketchikan Kings vs. Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears

Ketchikan hasn't had much luck against Juneau-Douglas recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the Ketchikan Kings will jump right back in to play the Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears at 6:30 p.m.

Ketchikan came up short against Juneau-Douglas on Friday, falling 69-43. While losing is never fun, the Kings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alaska basketball rankings (they are ranked 60th, while the Crimson Bears are ranked sixth).

The victory was the fourth in a row for Juneau-Douglas, bringing their record for this year to 19-6. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points over those games. As for Ketchikan, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-17.
