Soccer Game Preview: Cooper City vs. Seminole Ridge

The Cooper City Cowboys will take on the Seminole Ridge Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cooper City is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.8 goals per game this season.

Cooper City is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Fort Lauderdale a 3-0 shutout. Given the Cowboys' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 52nd, while the Flying L's are ranked 238th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Amanda Will and Michelle Rosen scored all three of Cooper City's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 49 goals.

Meanwhile, Seminole Ridge waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They beat the Bulldogs by a goal, winning 2-1. That's two games straight that the Hawks have won by just one goal.

Cooper City is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 34 goals over those seven contests. As for Seminole Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 15-4-2.
