Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Eupora walked away with it. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Riverside Bulldogs a 14-0 shutout on Thursday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 contests by six runs or more this season.

The win was the fourth in a row for Eupora, bringing their record up to 23-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. As for Riverside, they moved to 20-7 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Eupora beat the Bulldogs by a score of 13-1 on Friday.
