Baseball Recap: Stonington's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Stonington dropped their record down to 18-5 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins on the road. They fell 7-3 to the Woodstock Academy Centaurs. The game marked the Bears' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Jace Wolfradt was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

As for Woodstock Academy, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-8. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games.

On Woodstock Academy's side, Logan Coutu was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three RBI. Those three RBI gave Coutu a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Camden Nason, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Looking ahead, Stonington will challenge Westerly at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Woodstock Academy, they will face off against Killingly at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
