Cardinal Newman came tearing into Friday's matchup with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Central Cobras. For the Crusaders, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory the Cobras walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Ava Castro paced Cardinal Newman's offense, picking up seven kills. Castro got some help from Dayana Acevedo and her 12 assists. Eloise Libra and Olivia Peterson kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.
