Basketball Recap: Monument Valley Comes Up Short

After soaring to 60 points the game before, Monument Valley was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They were dealt a 79-16 loss at the hands of the Cuba Rams. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 73-24 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Akecheta Shortman was Monument Valley's leading scorer, having posted six points. Brice Good Shield held things down on the boards with six rebounds.

Monument Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Monument Valley has already played their next contest, a 39-33 loss against Varsity Opponent on the 6th. As for Cuba, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 66-39 defeat against Navajo Prep on the 6th.
