Volleyball Recap: Cathedral Catholic Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cathedral Catholic can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Torrey Pines Falcons on Saturday. The Dons have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Olivia Greenwood paced Cathedral Catholic's offense, picking up eight kills. Greenwood got some help from Sierra Aswad and her 11 assists. Aswad was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Lila Green was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had ten digs and one assist.

Cathedral Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 28-8. As for Torrey Pines, the win was the 20th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 37-4.

Coming up, Cathedral Catholic will challenge Marymount at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Torrey Pines, they will square off against San Juan Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
