Flag Football Game Preview: Roosevelt Rough Riders vs. Legacy Tigers

The Roosevelt Rough Riders are taking a road trip to challenge the Legacy Tigers at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Roosevelt's defense has only allowed 10.5 points per game this season, so Legacy's offense will have their work cut out for them.

On Monday, Roosevelt was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 24-19 to Huntington Park. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Rough Riders came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 229th, while the Spartans are ranked 573rd).

Meanwhile, Legacy came tearing into Thursday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.3 points), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 26-0 margin over the Rams. That looming 26-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Tigers yet this season.

Legacy now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Roosevelt, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.

Roosevelt came up short against Legacy in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 25-19. Can the Rough Riders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
