Basketball Recap: Oregon-Davis Bobcats vs. Westville Blackhawks

Oregon-Davis managed to slip by Westville the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bobcats lost 58-38 to the Blackhawks on Monday. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Westville found their leader in sophomore Hillary Labis, who shot 4-for-7 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double with 32 points and 22 rebounds. Labis has become a key player for the Blackhawks: the team is 3-1 when she posts at least 25 points, but 2-3 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Dallas Richey, who posted 14 points and five boards.

Oregon-Davis' loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Westville, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Oregon-Davis wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 64-45 defeat against Mishawaka Marian on the 3rd. As for Westville, they will be playing at home against Tri-Township at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Blackhawks' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
