Softball Recap: Arabia Mountain Takes a Loss

If Arabia Mountain was riding high fresh off their 14-4 takedown of Cedar Grove on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rams lost 18-3 to the Shiloh Generals on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Rams in their meetings with the Generals: they've now lost five in a row.

Samiyah Zellars and Naya Bowden did some serious damage despite the final result: Zellars went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, while Bowden went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double. Bowden has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.

Arabia Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Shiloh, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-3.

Looking ahead, Arabia Mountain is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Lithonia at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Shiloh, they will be playing at home against Chamblee at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
