Volleyball Recap: Universal Takes a Loss

Universal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Islamic Foundation Chargers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Stars of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-13.

Universal's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Islamic Foundation, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

Coming up, Universal will welcome College Prep of America at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Stars are facing the Thunder at the right time seeing as the Thunder are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Islamic Foundation, they will challenge Hinsdale Adventist Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Chargers will also cruise into their next game with the timing on their side: the Hurricanes will have lost three straight heading into Tuesday's matchup.
