Basketball Recap: Northfield Comes Up Short

Northfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were beaten by the Winooski Spartans 62-28. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, with their most recent loss being a 48-21 defeat back in January.

Northfield's loss dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Winooski, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-8.

Coming up, Northfield will take on Danville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Danville will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Northfield surely won't give up without a fight. As for Winooski, they will challenge Hazen at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hazen's defense has only allowed 27.5 points per game this season, so Winooski's offense will have their work cut out for them.
