Softball Recap: Victoria West Extends Winning Streak to Three

After losing to Lamar Consolidated the last time they met, Victoria West decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Victoria West was the clear victor by a 12-6 margin over Lamar Consolidated on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Victoria West got a massive performance out of Celeste Kubicek, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs Kubicek has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Martinez, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

The victory got Victoria West back to even at 10-10. As for Lamar Consolidated, the loss snapped their winning streak at 12 games and leaves them with a 12-3 record.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Victoria West will square off against rival Fort Bend Kempner at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lamar Consolidated is set to take on their familiar foe Terry at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
