Basketball Recap: Crownpoint Takes a Loss

Crownpoint lost against Wingate back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Crownpoint Eagles took a hard 56-39 fall against the Wingate Bears.

Crownpoint's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Wingate, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crownpoint will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Kirtland Central at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Wingate, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Hot Springs at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Wingate knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Hot Springs likes a good challenge.
