Volleyball Game Preview: Wayne Blue Devils vs. Crofton Warriors

The Wayne Blue Devils will head out to take on the Crofton Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Wayne came up short against Pierce and fell 2-0. The loss continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their meetings with the Bluejays: they've now lost eight in a row.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Crofton didn't have quite enough to beat Plainview on Monday and fell 3-2.

Crofton took Plainview into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-20, 22-25, 20-25, 16-14.

Wayne will have to contain Karoline Schendt as she made an impact in Crofton's last game. She had 18 digs and two aces.

Crofton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Wayne, their loss dropped their record down to 15-10.

Wayne suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Crofton in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Blue Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
