Football Game Preview: Ione vs. Arlington/Condon

Arlington/Condon will challenge Ione on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Arlington/Condon come in off of three low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the squad is obviously eager to reverse.

Things haven't been easy for Arlington/Condon, and their matchup last Friday only extended their streak of losses to three. They were given a punishing 8-58 loss at the hands of Enterprise. The state rankings had actually given Arlington/Condon a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.

Meanwhile, Ione have had to suffer through a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They captured a comfortable 42-22 victory over Sherman. The high-flying offensive effort was a definite turnaround from Ione's flat performance the match before.

Ione's win lifted them to 1-5 while Arlington/Condon's defeat dropped them down to 1-4. We'll find out if Ione can add another positive mark to their record or if Arlington/Condon can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Ione's step.
