Basketball Recap: Fort Myers Green Wave vs. Ida Baker Bulldogs
Fort Myers proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 31) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Ida Baker Bulldogs, sneaking past 44-41. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Green Wave have posted since November 28, 2023.

Skye Douglas continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 7 for 10 on her way to 16 points and three steals. Douglas is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Juliya Smith was another key player, putting up two points along with 12 rebounds, six blocks, and three steals.
Despite the loss, Ida Baker still got an impressive performance from Maia Berdebes, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 16 boards. The dominant performance gave Berdebes a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Emilee Plummer, who posted ten points in addition to eight boards and four steals.
