Baseball Game Preview: South Stokes Sauras vs. Alleghany Trojans

South Stokes is a perfect 9-0 against Alleghany since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The South Stokes Sauras will host the Alleghany Trojans at 6:30 p.m. The timing is sure in South Stokes' favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Alleghany has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.

South Stokes easily dispatched Alleghany on Tuesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. South Stokes fell just short of McMichael by a score of 5-3 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Sauras have suffered since April 2, 2024.

South Stokes saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nick Turner, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Those two hits gave Turner a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Alleghany came up short against Hibriten on Wednesday, falling 19-1.

South Stokes' loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Alleghany, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Alleghany's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: South Stokes has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .456. It's a different story for Alleghany, though, as they've only averaged .273. Will they be able to contain South Stokes' hitters?
