Ventura Van-Zandt put up the most strikeouts she's had since back in February on Thursday. She struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Van-Zandt and Lincoln will challenge University at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sadly, Van-Zandt's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Mustangs' ten-game streak of wins at home.
