Football Preview: Foothill Knights vs. Tustin Tillers
The Foothill Knights will head out to square off against the Tustin Tillers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
While Knights fans will have to keep waiting for their squad to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Friday's season opener. They walked away with a 28-20 win over Madison on Friday.
Nathan Gouvion was a one-man wrecking crew for Foothill as he rushed for 289 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.6 yards per carry. Gouvion's longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards. Gino Marchetti was another key player, throwing for 180 yards and a touchdown.
Foothill was moving up and down the field and finished the game with 535 total yards. That's the most total yards they've posted since back in September of 2023.

Meanwhile, Tustin took care of business in their home opener on Friday (and then some). They claimed a resounding 35-6 victory over El Toro at home. Given the Tillers' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while the Chargers are ranked 263rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Eimesse Essis went supernova for Tustin, rushing for 196 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.3 yards per carry.
