Christoval entered their tilt with Ozona on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They enjoyed a cozy 49-32 win over the Ozona Lions. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 128th, while the Lions are ranked 268th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Christoval has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 20 games, which provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record this season. As for Ozona, with the defeat, they broke their nine-game winning streak and moved their record to 22-7.
