Soccer Game Preview: Wagoner vs. Hilldale

The Wagoner Bulldogs will head out to take on the Hilldale Hornets at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wagoner will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

While Wagoner's win against Sallisaw wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bulldogs never let the Black Diamonds get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Friday. Wagoner's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four contests.

Meanwhile, Hilldale had just enough and edged out Poteau 2-1 on Friday. Hilldale haven't had any issues with Poteau recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Wagoner's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Hilldale, their win bumped their record up to 5-6-1.

Wagoner beat Hilldale by a goal when the teams last played back in April of 2025, winning 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
