League recap: McMahon's hitting boosts Sherwood

Montgomery County 4A - North league recap: 5/7/12

Colin Mcmahon was on fire this week, as he led Montgomery County 4A - North with a .455 average, one home run and four RBIs. Meanwhile, Sherwood put together a 3-0 week.

After a week in which it went 3-0, the Warriors jumped from 139 to 113 in the national rankings, the biggest increase in the league.

Sherwood's pitching staff dominated this week, allowing only 21 hits and 14 walks, both of which led the league. The Warriors's pitchers have been charged with only 61 hits and have struck out 76 batters. Patrick Kemper is tops on the staff with 25 Ks.

Sherwood's Brady Adam finished his week with seven hits, tops in the league. He is first in the league with 15 hits this year, and has a .375 batting average.
