Baseball Game Preview: Whites Creek Cobras vs. East Nashville Magnet Eagles

Whites Creek hasn't had much luck against East Nashville Magnet recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Cobras will head out on the road to square off against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Whites Creek lost 8-2 to Kenwood on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, while it was East Nashville Magnet who put the first runs on the board last Wednesday, it was Lawson who put up more. The Eagles came up short against the Lightning, falling 7-1. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

East Nashville Magnet saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Davyd Gilbert, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. William McCann also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Whites Creek now has a losing record of 2-3. As for East Nashville Magnet, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Whites Creek has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like East Nashville Magnet struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Whites Creek might still be hurting after the 13-2 defeat they got from East Nashville Magnet in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Cobras avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
