Baseball Recap: Glass Takes a Loss

Glass has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.53 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Wednesday. They fell 10-6 to the Salem Spartans. That makes it the first time this season the Hilltoppers have let down their home crowd.

This is the second loss in a row for Glass and nudges their season record down to 11-4. As for Salem, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-5.

Looking ahead, Glass will welcome Jefferson Forest at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Cavaliers will roll in looking for their 17th straight win, something the Hilltoppers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Salem, they will venture away from home to take on Hidden Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
