Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Salem). They blew past the Yellville-Summit Panthers 56-7 at home on Friday. Considering the Greyhounds have won three matchups by more than 32 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Salem to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ethan Birmingham, who rushed for 74 yards and two touchdowns. Those 74 rushing yards gave Birmingham a new career-high. Another rusher making a difference was Aiden Province, who rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Salem's defense and their four sacks. In that department, Keagan Sanderson was the leader with two. He is becoming a predictor of Salem's success: when he posts at least two sacks the team is undefeated (and 1-3 when he doesn't).

Salem's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-3. As for Yellville-Summit, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Salem will take on Mountain View at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Salem knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Mountain View likes a good challenge. As for Yellville-Summit, they will head out on the road to take on Melbourne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
