Basketball Recap: Christian Heritage's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

It was a good run, but Christian Heritage unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a hard 59-41 fall against the Trinity Christian Academy Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Sentinels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1278th, while the Warriors are ranked 582nd).

Trinity Christian Academy was led to victory by Luke Rolen and Luke Nutt. Rolen almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine boards, while Nutt went 7 of 14 on his way to 20 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The contest was Nutt's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jatavian Browner, who posted five points in addition to six rebounds and three blocks.

Christian Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian Heritage will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Union Hill at 11:00 a.m. on December 30th. Trinity Christian Academy will take on Athens Christian Preparatory Academy in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on December 17th at.
