Recap: Palmer Dragons vs. Ingomar Falcons
On Friday, Palmer had to suffer through a rough 73-15 loss at the hands of Ingomar. Palmer was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-5.
Macie Phifer was her usual excellent self, scoring 13 points for Ingomar. The matchup was Phifer's 12th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Issie Riddle, who scored five points along with four steals.
Palmer's defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-10. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.6 points per game. As for Ingomar, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-4.
Palmer will head out on the road to face off against Calhoun City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Calhoun City will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line. Ingomar won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Quitman at 5:30 p.m. on January 6th. Quitman is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
