Byers hadn't done well against Limon recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Badgers. The Bulldogs were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Badgers, so the Bulldogs were just returning the favor.

While Byers won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-22, 25-20.

Karley Linnebur paced Byers' offense, picking up nine kills. Linnebur got some help from Leyla Sayler and her 11 assists. Linnebur was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

The win made it two in a row for Byers and bumps their season record up to 9-11. As for Limon, they dropped their record down to 1-17 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Byers will face off against Fowler at 10:00 a.m. on November 1. As for Limon, they will head out to face off against Yuma at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
