Soccer Recap: Seneca Takes a Loss

Seneca's game on Monday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They lost 3-0 to the James F. Byrnes Rebels. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bobcats of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Seneca's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for James F. Byrnes, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-1.

Coming up, Seneca will be playing in front of their home fans against Belton-Honea Path at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Seneca's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for James F. Byrnes, they will venture away from home to challenge Wade Hampton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wade Hampton's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
