Softball Recap: Colony Gets the Win

Colony proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 13) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Ketchikan Kings, sneaking past 6-4. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Kings: they've now won four in a row.

Alexis Congdon was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Colony always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .536. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ketchikan only posted an OBP of .316.

Colony's record is now 13-4-1. As for Ketchikan, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11-1.

Coincidentally, Colony and Ketchikan will both be playing Soldotna the next time they take the field. The Kings will host the Stars at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Knights will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
