Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lenoir City). They came out on top against the South-Doyle Cherokees by a score of 72-63 on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Cherokees back in December of 2024, they had to take a 50-44 defeat.

Lenoir City's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-13. As for South-Doyle, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-15.

When Lenoir City and South-Doyle next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Lenoir City will square off against Carter and their four-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Similarly, South-Doyle will try to stop Heritage's six-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
